AWI French Americans
OK this army I started to put together in the mid to late 1990s. Originally it started as just a French force from 1781 but grew.
Again based for WRG (now AWRG) 1685-1845 rules which still holds up despite the plethora of more modern so called fast play rule sets that demand big battalions and even bigger tables. WRG can be played on a 6x4 table with a conclusion in 2-3 hours depending on the size of the game.
This army and its British opponents have been used in friendly and competition games with mixed success. Having to Build the British side was the side effect of being a rural solo gamer.
The figures are a mix of Old Glory, Frontrank and Eureka.
Totals
Infantry 13 battalions
Cavalry 3 regiments
Artillery 7 guns plus 3 limbers
112 infantry figures
23 cavalrymen
6 command
30 artillerymen
6 limber horses.
